About Assad

A Life Lived With
Pure Kindness

Assad Ahmed, lovingly known to all as Manu, was born on 27th March 1996 and raised in Rotherham, UK, alongside his devoted mother and sister. From an early age, Assad carried a natural warmth, sincerity, and kindness that drew people towards him. He had a rare ability to make others feel seen, valued, and at ease — qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Assad was intelligent, driven, and deeply committed to building a meaningful life. He graduated with a Bachelor of Honours in Biomedical Science from Leeds Beckett University and went on to establish a successful career as a Procurement Manager within UK Civil Service organisations. His dedication to personal and professional growth was reflected in his achievement of Level 4 CIPS — just one example of his ambition and determination.

Outside of his career, Assad embraced life wholeheartedly. He was passionate about football and boxing, and he found true happiness in travelling the world with his closest friends. From Europe to the Middle East and the United States, he created memories filled with laughter, connection, and adventure. He was a young man with boundless dreams, excited for the many experiences still ahead of him.

Assad's life took an unexpected and deeply challenging turn when he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer affecting the bile ducts.

Assad passed away peacefully at home, with his beloved sister by his side, holding his hand. His passing was gentle and surrounded by love, just as he had lived his life.

An Ode of Lament for Assad

A moment more and I'd tell you how much I love you dear son.

Assad a name for my lion, your virtues many and a warrior whose strength made my day.

A mother's heart was content, and you made life easier being man of the house.

No more do I see the light of the day; the night drags and droopy eyes beg for sleep.

A moment more and I'd hug you and tell you how much I love you dear brother.

I cry and lament your youthful life cut short, you a noble soul who silently bore the pain of life, and even torture of the last breath never appeared on your beautiful face.

Darling brother, I would pay a king's ransom to have you back and I'd not let you out of my sight.

Friends are many but you were a rough diamond which we discovered, a solitary figure, coolest gent in the neighbourhood.

A great travel companion on a two lions' journey (Assad and Humza the best there are.)

Suddenly time halts when you dear dost leave for another World. A sign reads no return!

Many weep, empty streets, no light in your window.

Finally, you rest and all is at peace though tears spill and grief takes hold.

We visit your final abode, and a beautiful wind touches my face as we pray that in Allah subhanatallah's realms you are in the highest heavens.

Cause you deserve a palace, eternal nectar that quenches and rivers that flow like the true love you shared and gave in abundance.

Until we meet again!!!
